Double shooting into a rideshare car with a child kills one person, Miami-Dade cops say

A man is dead and a woman in critical condition after an overnight double shooting, according to Miami-Dade police.

An email from Miami-Dade Detective Angel Rodriguez says after a ShotSpotter alert at 2060 Lincoln Ave. in Opa-locka, city police officers found the couple inside a car. Jose Luis Lucho was dead. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the woman to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

The rideshare car’s driver and a child inside the car weren’t injured.

Rodriguez’s email said while an early investigation indicates this was a drive-by shooting, there’s no information on the shooter or the shooter’s car.
