A teen was shot to death last week in southwest Miami-Dade. Police are now turning to the public for tips.

Tony Montrell Alford Jr., 17, was killed April 23 near the intersection of Southwest 204th Street and 122th Avenue in South Miami Heights. Tony’s was one of eight people killed on a weekend marred by gun violence in South Florida.

Miami-Dade police are asking for help identifying a suspect and locating a witness who spoke with a uniformed officer on the scene.
