Deputies arrest man who they say stabbed and killed another in Broward County

A man was arrested Tuesday in the deadly stabbing of another in Broward County, according to authorities.

Keenan BJ Whyte is facing one count of first-degree murder, county court records show. The 25-year-old New York native remained in jail as of Wednesday afternoon. Attorney information wasn’t immediately available.

At 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, first responders received a call about a stabbing in the 6300 block of Landings Way in Tamarac, BSO said in a news release. When they arrived, deputies and Tamarac paramedics say they found a man with stab wounds.

The stabbed man was then airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening wounds, but he died shortly after, deputies said.

BSO declined to release the man’s name, citing a law that protects victims of crimes.

Authorities didn’t release additional information.

This developing story will be updated as more information becomes available.
