A 24-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after, Miami-Dade police say, she abducted her two biological kids from their legal guardian over the weekend.

Jemima Gutierrez of Collier County was booked at 2:48 a.m. Wednesday on two counts of kidnapping and two counts of custodial interference by a parent, Miami-Dade Corrections online records say.

Miami-Dade police say Gutierrez took 4-year-old Josiah Gutierrez and 6-year-old Jody Gutierrez from the area of Southwest 107th Avenue and Southwest 186th Street around 1:30 p.m. Sunday during a visit.

Due to incorrect information given to the Miami Herald, an earlier version of this story misspelled Gutierrez’s first name.
