Two deputies, one other person injured after car rolled over in hit and run crash, BSO says
A pickup truck driver ran from a Saturday night crash, Broward Sheriff’s Office says, after hitting into a BSO cruiser and smashing into another vehicle hard enough to roll it over.
BSO Fire Rescue airlifted one deputy to a hospital while the other deputy and the driver of the other vehicle went to a hospital via the streets. BSO said Sunday afternoon that all had been released.
As for the truck involved in the hit-and-run, BSO described that as a red GMC pickup truck. There was no description of the absconded driver.
Around 10 p.m. Saturday night, the agency says, the driver ran a red light at Northwest 26th Street and 31st Avenue in Lauderdale Lakes, crashed into the BSO cruiser then hit the other vehicle involved.
Anyone who knows something about this can contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 (TIPS), **8477 from a cell phone or at the Broward Crime Stoppers website.
