Police say they’re in pursuit of a man who shot a woman in a Broward apartment complex
A meeting Tuesday morning in a Pembroke Pines apartment complex parking lot ended with a woman shot and police asking the public to stay away from a busy area as they searched for a 20- to 25-year-old man who ran away.
Pines police say the 10:57 a.m. shooting happened in a parking lot of The Landings at Pembroke Lakes Apartments, about a mile and a half northwest of the Pembroke Road and Palm Avenue intersection police identified as their search area.
Afterward, the woman was “conscious and cooperating with police,” said Amanda Conwell, Pembroke Pines police spokesman.
While the person police believe did the shooting remains at large, they stated “no other threat exists to the community.”
