A real estate agent showing a house in northern Broward County was shot dead on Thursday, according to Coral Springs police and media reports.

The woman was shot several times in the area of 5700 NW 48th Ct., police said.

At 12:33 p.m., Coral Springs PD got a 911 call about a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a vehicle with Sara Trost of Parkland, in the driver’s seat. Trost, 40, was shot multiple times, police said.

“Despite immediate medical treatment, the driver succumbed to her injuries on scene and was pronounced dead,” police said in a statement.

According to reports, Trost was a real estate agent who may have been showing the house where she had parked the car she was sitting in when she was shot.

Reese is being held without bond.

“At this time there are no additional suspects being sought, nor is there a threat to the community,” police noted.

No additional details were released on the suspect or the shooting.
