One man killed after Monday morning shooting in Broward, sheriff’s office says

WEDNESDAY UPDATE: Broward Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the victim.

A man found shot in a Pompano Beach street died there Monday morning, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue went to the 900 block of Northwest Fifth Avenue after a 7 a.m. call about a man bleeding in the street — but only in time to begin a homicide investigation into the death of 27-year-old Pompano Beach resident Calvin Brown.
