A body was found on Interstate-595 in Broward. Deputies say it’s a homicide

A homicide investigation is underway after a body was found on Interstate-595 in Davie early Friday.

A man was found dead around 1:30 a.m. on the eastbound shoulder of the interstate near Hiatus Road, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Helicopter video taken by WSVN shows evidence markers scattered around the body.

Investigators are treating the death as a homicide. The sheriff’s office has not said how he died.

Anyone who has video that shows what happened on the interstate or saw something suspicious on the eastbound lanes of I-595 between Hiatus Road and Nob Hill Road between 10 p.m. Thursday and 1:30 a.m. Friday is asked to call BSO Homicide Detective Wilson De Jesus at 954-321-4289.
