One teenager killed, two others injured in Goulds drive-by shooting, police say

A drive-by shooting Wednesday night in Goulds left a 17-year-old dead, and two 16-year-olds injured, according to Miami-Dade police.

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. in the area of Southwest 223rd Street and Southwest 115th Avenue.

Police say the teens were outside in the residential area when someone began firing from a car.

The 17-year-old, identified Thursday as Clinton Young, died at the scene. The two injured teens were rushed to Kendall Regional Trauma Center. One of the teens was in stable condition. The condition of the other teen was not immediately known.

“Once again our youth is affected by gun violence,” said Alvaro Zabaleta, a police spokesman. “We urge the community to provide any information regarding this incident.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
