They fought about masks outside Latin Cafe, cops say. Video shows a man being attacked.

The fight outside Latin Cafe in Flagami started over masks, Miami police said.

It ended with a man being attacked by four people.

On Monday, police released video of the July 5th incident in hopes of identifying the two women and two men involved.

The incident happened at about 6 p.m. July 5 at the restaurant at 875 NW 42 Ave.

Video shows people standing at a window when an argument between a group of four and a man in a red shirt begins. They appear to be yelling at each other before a man in a gray shirt begins attacking the man in red. The other three in the group join in.

Detectives say the victim was at the counter buying coffee “when an argument ensued with another subject at the window counter over compliance for wearing masks.”

“The argument escalated quickly and within seconds the subject, along with several other accomplices, began physically attacking him,” police said.

The victim’s girlfriend was in the car when the fight began, but went to help her boyfriend and was hurt in the scuffle, police say.

“Detectives reviewed video surveillance which corroborates the statements provided by both victims,” police said.

Police are looking for two men between the ages of 25 and 30. One of the men is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds. He was last seen in a black shirt with blue jeans.

The other man is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 220 lbs. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and black shorts.

They are also looking for two women involved. One is described as being 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and about 190 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jean shorts.

The other woman is described as being 25 to 30 years old, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and about 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt with blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami Police Department’s Assaults Unit at 305-603-6940 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471- TIPS (8477).
