A man’s morning bus ride in Fort Lauderdale ended in a stabbing

A man was stabbed Wednesday morning on a Broward County Transit bus in Fort Lauderdale, police said.

Neither of the two stab wounds were considered to be possibly fatal, but the man was hustled to a hospital as a trauma alert patient as a precaution.

A suspect got off the bus around 6250 N. Federal Highway and was detained not far from there. Fort Lauderdale police say early investigation says the stabbing might’ve been a self-defense response, so “charges are unknown.”
