Road rage on I-595 led to a man getting shot at, FHP said. Culprit hasn’t been found
A fit of road rage on Interstate 595 in Broward County led a man to shooting into another man’s car early Wednesday afternoon, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.
At about 12:20 p.m., a 46-year-old man drove onto I-595 east of Nob Hill Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Shortly after, he became entangled in a road rage dispute with another driver, whose identity is not known.
The other driver, who looked to be in his early 20s with dreadlocks and gold teeth, drove behind the 46-year-old and possibly shot into his car. The victim said he heard three or four loud noises that sounded like bricks hitting his car, FHP said.
The younger driver then drove his black Infinity or Mazda crossover next to the victim and pulled out a black semi-automatic pistol and smiled, FHP said. The victim tried to drive away again when he heard two more shots strike his car.
The victim was not injured and the other driver has not been been found by authorities. FHP is still investigating.
