Someone shot a man in the head in a drive-by at a graduation party, Miami-Dade cops say

Miami-Dade police want to find whoever shot at a crowd of people at a graduation party in a Brownsville neighborhood just after midnight Saturday. It was a drive-by shooting, cops say.

According to Det. Angel Rodriguez, police were called to a scene outside 30th Avenue and Northwest 54th Street at about two minutes after midnight. There, they found a crowd who had been celebrating and a man in a car who had been shot in the head.

In a release, Rodriguez said friends rushed the man to Jackson’s Ryder Trauma Center where he is in critical condition.

Numerous cars had bullet holes, police said.

Police did not release the man’s name and have not found any suspects.

Detectives ask for help if you have any information to provide, which could include whether there are additional victims, the subject’s vehicle, identity or whereabouts. Call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
