One man dead, woman injured in possible Pembroke Pines domestic dispute, cops said

Pembroke Pines police were deployed in a neighborhood near St. Edward Catholic Church after a man was found dead and a woman was injured Friday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m., police responded to a welfare check near the area of 300 Southwest 191st Avenue, police said. When officers arrived, they found a man dead and a woman injured inside a home.

Neither has been identified by police and the woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Police did not say how the man died or how the woman was injured.

The incident is still under investigation, but police believe it may be domestic related.
