He was talking to a woman in a parking lot. Then someone fatally shot him, police say.
It was the middle of the night and Roger Freeman was having a conversation with a woman in a Fort Lauderdale parking lot.
That’s when an unknown person appeared and shot Freeman several times, police said.
Freeman, 41, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died.
On Monday, police reached out to the community for help in finding Freeman’s killer.
The shooting happened at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday at 219 W. Dixie Court.
Police did not reveal the identity of the woman or her relationship to Freeman, who lived in Fort Lauderdale. No other information was released.
“This is an active investigation and circumstances surrounding the incident are still being determined,” police said in a news release.
