She was hit by a car. Then she was hit by several more and died. No one stopped, cops say

Erica Neal got off a Broward County bus Monday night and tried to cross West Sunrise Boulevard.

She never made it, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said.

Neal, 48, was struck down by a car before she could make it to the other side. She was then hit by several more vehicles.

No one stopped, BSO said.

On Thursday, the department is asking for the community’s help in finding those drivers involved.

According to BSO, the accident happened just after 10 p.m. Monday in the 3000 block of West Sunrise Boulevard.

Neal died in the street.

BSO said a witness to the crash remained on scene and was cooperating with traffic homicide investigators.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
