A multi-agency pursuit of a pickup truck through Broward County early Thursday afternoon ended with the truck spun out in a commercial building parking lot in Davie.

The suspects faced a judge on Friday. A bruised Joshua Perez, 36, was charged with aggravated battery on a police officer, resisting arrest with violence, aggravated fleeing with injury or damage, fleeing and eluding officers who had lights flashing and leaving the scene of a crash involving damage to property.

Police say Perez was behind the wheel of the pickup. His total bond was $39,700.

Also charged:

Moses Happy Jumper, 37, who was arrested on charges of possession of a weapon or ammo by a convicted felon and tampering with or fabricating evidence and property damage. His total bail is $16,000.

Jean Claude Bienaime, 41, arrested on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a warrant for carrying a concealed firearm and violation of pretrial for possession with intent to sell or distribute heroin and a similar charge for fentanyl. Bond was not set.

George Jeron Harris, 31, arrested on a warrant for violation of pretrial for misdemeanor battery, a civil warrant for Department of Revenue child support, possession of methamphetamine and resisting an officer without violence. His total bond is $1,600 but he’s been placed on hold in Miami-Dade.

Orlando Javier Amras, 52, arrested on charges of failure to register a vehicle and having an unlawful license tag or sticker attached. His total bail was $500 and he bonded out.

Broward Sheriff’s Office said the incident began in the 2500 block of Wilson Street in Hollywood. When Violence Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response (VIPER) detectives tried to take a Miami-Dade armed carjacking suspect into custody, they got interrupted by a black pickup truck ramming an unmarked van — twice.

The chase began. The black pickup truck slalomed through traffic up University Drive, onto and off medians, then swung onto State Road 84 trailed by a one police cruiser, then several cruisers from BSO, Fort Lauderdale, Davie and the unmarked unit.

One person bailed out and was taken into custody before the State Road 84 part of the chase. BSO said someone else threw a rifle out of the window.

When the truck tried to maneuver through an office building parking lot on Orange Drive off State Road 7, the driver of the more agile unmarked unit was able to spin the truck out. Two more people were taken into custody.

WSVN-Channel 7, which followed the chase via helicopter, reported at least one person in the car was wanted on an aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer charge.
