A man was shot in his backyard on Christmas Eve. Police want answers.

A man was shot in his backyard on Christmas Eve morning, and Miami-Dade police are investigating.

At 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, police got a call of shots fired in a neighborhood in the 26000 block of Southwest 139th Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 40s with a gunshot wound.

He died at the home, police said.

Police did not release the name of the man or how the shooting occurred.
