Operation ‘bad batch’ targeted street-level drug sales, ends with nine arrests

Over the last four months, Miami-Dade police, with the help of several other agencies, teamed up in an operation dubbed “bad batch” to target street level narcotic sales.

On Wednesday, the department said the operation ended with nine felony arrests, with more to come.

Arrested were: Raymond Burgess, 36, on a warrant; Carlos Coronado, 18, was charged with possession of fetanyl; Chris Campbell, 41, was charged with possession of fetanyl with intent to sell and possession of cocaine with intent to sell; Thomas Edwards, 52, on a warrant; Leartis Hankerson, 63, on a warrant; Tinnell Irving, 41, was charged with possession of heroin with intent to sell and possession of cocaine; Stephan JeanLouis, 34, was charged with trafficking cocaine, trafficking heroin and possession of methamphetamine and Xanax; Patricia Mack, 60, on a warrant; and Roderick Woodbury, 52, on three different warrants.

The following drugs were seized during the operation: 54.3 grams cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, 5 grams of heroin, 3.9 grams of methamphetamine, 3.41 grams of Fentanyl, three Xanax pills, four Oxycodone pills. Also seized: two firearms and $358 in cash.

“The Miami-Dade Police Department is committed to maintaining the highest level of safety and security for our residents, and will continue to combat illegal narcotics activity,” the department said in a news release.
