A Hallandale Beach man was arrested Friday night after being accused of masturbating in front of preteen girls while driving BMWs.

According to Hollywood police, 25-year-old Umer Tanguwalla’s routine involved rolling up to the girl and summoning her to the car by asking her a question. The girls told police the driver was “naked from the waist down and actively masturbating.”

This happened in September, November and December, Hollywood police said. Two times, the soloist drove a 2018 white BMW M-series, four-door car with a European-style front license place, a bike rack and lettering on the rear windshield, side windows and rear bumper. That car was seen on a surveillance camera. The other incident involved a white BMW X-Series SUV.

As of Saturday night, white BMWs are the first thing pictured on Prestige Automotive’s website and Tanguwalla is pictured on the About Us page as the owner. State records list him as the president of Tanguwalla Automotive Group, which runs Prestige Automotive. The auto repair shop is connected to the Texaco gas station at 126 N. Federal Hwy. in Hallandale; it is owned by Hallandale Petroleum, of which Tanguwalla is vice president.

He faces two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior by an adult with a victim under the age of 16. His bond is set at $50,000.

Hollywood cops ask “anyone who was aporached by a white male driving a white BMW while displaying a sex act” to contact them at 954-764-4357 (HELP) or 954-967-4411. Tips can be emailed to hollywoodpdtips@hollywoodfl.org. Also, people can contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 (TIPS) or via the Broward Crime Stoppers website.
