Hialeah teen accused of making bomb threats
A Hialeah teen was led away in handcuffs after he reportedly made some explosive threats.
Julian Dominguez, 18, used Twitter to make bomb threats against the city, according to police.
In one tweet to Hialeah’s police department posted around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dominguez reportedly wrote that he had place explosives around the city.
In another he warned that “casualties will be tremendous,” according to police.
“Nowadays those threats are to be taken very seriously. He probably thought he was being funny or amusing but he committed a crime today,” said Hialeah police spokesman Carl Zogby.
Dominguez is facing charges for making a bomb threat, a second degree felony. As he was led away to jail, he apologized to the city. When asked why he did it, Dominguez said he was high on marijuana.
