This angry woman tried to steal Christmas — and is armed and on the loose, police say

What’s worse than the Grinch during the holiday season? An armed Grinch.

That’s the type of person who’s been on the run from Hollywood police for a week.

At about 2:30 a.m. Dec. 3, a man’s Ring surveillance system captured quite the sight — a woman, wearing a zebra tank top and pink pajama bottoms, angrily pressing his home’s doorbell over and over again in the 2200 block of Monroe Street.

After shouting something, which can’t be heard on the video, she walks off, only to dash back. This time, she pounded on the door with a handgun.

Someone briefly opens the door and the woman points the gun at them as they slam it closed. The person quickly called police.

As officers were on their way, the woman became increasingly agitated and punted lights off the person’s lawn.

Before making a getaway, she snatched their Christmas wreath off their door.

Police weren’t able to make it in time, but they describe her as five feet two to five feet five inches tall, 40 to 50 years old, and with blond hair.

Detectives are asking anyone who has information to call the Hollywood Police Department at 954-764-4357 or 954-967-4411. Tipsters can email or text to hollywoodpdtips@hollywoodfl.org.
