Double shooting in Overtown kills one, wounds another, cops say
A woman died and a man remains in the hospital after a shooting in Overtown during Sunday’s first hours, Miami police say.
A Shot Spotter alert around 1:25 a.m. brought Miami officers to the 1200 block of Northwest First Avenue, where they found the man and a woman, both in their 50s.
They were taken to Ryder Trauma Center, where the woman died from her wounds.
