Man tried to get three elementary school girls into his car, cops say
A man in a Honda Civic tried to get three elementary school girls into his car Wednesday morning as they went to school, Sunrise police say.
A flier from Sunrise police posted on social media says the three girls were walking to Village Elementary School, 2100 NW 70th Ave., around 7:20 Wednesday morning when the driver of the Civic asked them if they needed a ride and told them to get in his car.
The girls declined the offer.
The four-door Honda is described as an “older model, greenish blue” with damage on the rear panel of the driver’s side. The man is described as a 30- to 40-year-old male, with “black hair, a short beard and a blue button down dress shirt.”
Anyone who knows anything should contact Sunrise police at 954-764-4357 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
