A man was fatally shot early Saturday morning in the Pinewood neighborhood of northeast Miami-Dade County.
Miami-Dade homicide detectives are investigating the death of Frazier Taurus, 40, who was found about 3 a.m. with multiple gunshot wounds at his home in the 1000 block of Northwest 102nd Street. He later died at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Police say the incident began with an argument between Taurus and a woman he was living with, 31-year-old Markeita Davis. Earlier Friday night, Davis had been involved in a car accident and needed her vehicle towed home. As the tow truck delivered the car, Taurus and Davis started arguing at their residence.
Then Davis pulled out a gun, shot Taurus and fled on foot, according to investigators.
As Miami-Dade police were on the scene, Davis returned and was arrested without incident and charged with second-degree murder. Police recovered the gun.
