Miami police have two people in custody after a 36-year-old woman was carjacked while leaving a cousin’s home Tuesday morning.
The woman was driving a rented Nissan Infiniti when she was stopped by three armed juveniles at Northwest 12th Avenue and 57th Street, according to CBS4, the Miami Herald’s news partner. She said she saw them pointing toward her before approaching her car.
“Next thing I know, he has a big old gun in my face. I turned and another had a big old gun in my face. To me, he said, ‘Open the car. Open the door. Give me the code to my phone.’ I gave him everything. I go out and walked away from the car,” the unidentified woman said.
The threesome then drove off in the Nissan.

But it wasn’t easy for them.
A witness, Nicki Horne, told CBS4 that none of the three armed suspects could drive.
“I saw ’em pull off and they did not know how to drive … they were kids, wearing hoods on their heads … all had a gun,” said Horne. “These kids are really out of hand for this to happen at 10 in the morning.”
Though it took two minutes for the kids to figure out how to get the car going, according to the witness, they eventually managed to drive off anyway.
Police found the car near Northwest 17th Avenue and 68th Terrace Tuesday afternoon and are speaking to two of the suspects. Police have not released their names.
