Escaped Florida Keys inmate still missing
A Plantation Key jail inmate who escaped from custody was still missing on Sunday.
According to Monroe County authorities, Sean Michael Stacey, 37, was working outside the jail as a trusty for Monroe County Public Works when he went missing. He was last seen around High Point Road on Plantation Key at 4 p.m. Friday. His orange jail uniform was found nearby.
A Crime Stoppers reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that could lead to Stacey’s arrest on escape charges.
Stacey is six feet tall, 200 pounds with blue eyes and short red hair. He has been in jail since September 2014 on charges of burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief.
