A man who started a knife fight at a Doral home Sunday, returned to the same home three days later with a gun, fired the weapon and was arrested.
Undeterred, he returned to the home a third time Thursday and got into another knife fight that had a much bloodier ending, police said.
Police said the two men who got into a knife fight Thursday stabbed each other and were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. The man police are calling the victim, received non-life threatening injuries, police said. The other man, who police are calling the subject, is in critical condition.
Even though one of the men was arrested Sunday, police are refusing to release either man’s name. They also refused to release a copy of the arrest affidavit.

“They know each other in some capacity, but they’re not roommates,” said Doral Lt. Carlos Arango. “We don’t know the motive for the dispute.”
According to police, at 11 a.m. Sunday police received a call about a dispute at 5201 Geneva Way. One man had armed himself with two knives and went after another man, but his attempt to stab him was thwarted when he was overpowered by a group of people in the apartment. Police found the man after a short search, and arrested and charged him with aggravated battery.
Police said the man returned to the apartment Wednesday, this time with a gun. After firing the weapon, he fled. Police couldn’t find him. Thursday, at about 1:30 p.m., he returned again — with a knife. The two men got into a knife fight and stabbed each other.
