Police are searching for the driver of a Ford pickup truck who seriously injured a 55-year-old bicyclist in northwest Miami-Dade Thursday, authorities said.
William Hill, Jr. was riding west near the intersection of NW 64th Street and NW 23rd Avenue when he was hit by a dark-colored pickup truck around 3:30 p.m., police said. The driver of the car, which had tinted windows and a paper tag, kept driving north on 23rd Avenue without stopping or calling 911.
The four-door truck, which was captured on surveillance footage, had chrome steps and was described as a Ford F250 or 350, according to witnesses. The truck may also have a mark on the rear left quarter panel, or damage on its right side, police said.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Miami-Dade Police Department at 305-471-2425.
