Miami bank robber flees with undisclosed amount of cash
The BankUnited branch at 1099 NW 42nd Ave. was robbed at 5 p.m. Friday, according to a statement released by Michael Leverock, Miami-based FBI special agent.
He said the robber flashed a weapon of some type and demanded money from employees but did not injure any of the customers. The FBI is uncertain of how much money was stolen, and the robber’s identity is still unknown.
The robber fled on foot and is still at large.
