A woman is found dead in her apartment and police want to know what happened
Michelle Aranda’s mother sent police to her daughter’s Allapattah apartment on Thursday because she was worried and hadn’t heard from her.
Miami police found a mom’s worst nightmare. The 28-year-old woman’s body was decomposing inside her apartment. Police found the fourth-floor apartment, at 1740 NW N. River Dr., following the “foul smell.”
Detectives list the death as “unclassified” until the medical examiner figures out the cause of death, but police noted Aranda’s car, a black MINI Cooper with the tag EAC Z50, is missing.
Aranda’s Facebook profile lists her as a Waste Management employee and graduate of the University of North Texas. Her last public post, on May 4, was a group picture of a bowling game with her co-workers.
Anyone with information on Aranda or her missing car should call City of Miami Police Department Homicide Unit at (305) 603-6350, and ask for Det. A. Avila or any on duty detective. You can also contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
