Child-porn suspect found watching and photographing kids at a splash pad, cops say
Police found a child pornography suspect sitting at a splash pad, watching and taking photos of the kids in their bathing suits.
Authorities had been investigating Patrick Brogie, 55, for weeks after a tip he had child porn on his cellphone. Broward sheriff’s deputies heard he hung around a children’s splash pad in Pompano Beach.
On his phone, deputies said they found mentions of child pornography in his search history and pictures of little girls (ages 3 to 6) in bathing suits bending over at the splash pad.
Deputies found Brogie on April 25 “watching children at play.” They arrested him and found he was wanted in Germany for a 2008 case of sexual abuse of a child. He was charged with possession of child pornography.
If a child has had inappropriate conduct with Brogie, deputies ask that parents contact Detective Nick Masters at 954-888-5264.
