What began as a fight over a woman near the guard gate of an upscale Hollywood neighborhood ended with one man shot and critically injured and police looking to question the other, according to police.
At about 6 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a report of gunfire at 3451 Hollywood Oaks Dr., which is the gate of the Oak Ridge development.
Officers found a man, identified as Adam Mawardi, 29, with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition.
According to police, Mawardi, who lives in the complex with his parents, was “involved in an altercation about a female” with another man.

“At some point during the altercation, a gun was produced and Mawardi was shot,” police said.
The man took off, and now detectives are looking to question him.
Police say the man may be driving a four-door, green Acura with a temporary tag and possibly with a broken driver’s side window.
