FIU police: Serial butt-grabber strikes again
Florida International University police are once again warning students to watch their back(side) — literally.
The alert comes after a woman reported that someone on a bicycle grabbed her rear-end while she walked near the Green Library on the main campus in West Miami-Dade at 9:30 p.m. Sunday night.
The school has been on the prowl for the serial butt-grabber for about a year now after several woman reported being groped. The reports began last June. Then he struck again in September.
The butt-grabber could face up to a year in jail for each count if caught.
In Monday’s alert, police asked “All members of the university community to remain vigilant and aware of your surroundings.”
“If you see anything or anyone suspicious, or have any information about this incident, please call the FIU Police immediately.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 305-348-2626 or through http://police.fiu.edu/.
