South Miami PARK(ing) Day set for Sept. 16

On-street parking spaces will become public parks Sept. 16 in South Miami.

(PARK)ing Day happens annually on the third Friday of September. The international event helps to raise awareness about the importance of a walkable, livable, healthy city, and allows people to re-think how streets can be used. The event is open to all residents, businesses, and community groups in South Miami.

Your temporary park must meet several requirements and you must submit an application no later than 5 p.m. Sept. 2 to jtompkins@southmiamifl.gov. For more information, visit www.SouthMiamiFL.gov.
