North Miami police charge man with first-degree murder in security guard shooting

North Miami police have charged Loudy Joseph, 21, with first-degree murder in the death of Vinel Lamour, a 30-year-old security guard who was shot in the guard shack at the Center Court Apartments.

Just before 1 a.m. last Sunday, police were called to the apartments, 14899 NE 18th Ave., where they found Lamour lying on the floor with a gunshot wound in the guardhouse.

North Miami Police said Saturday that they worked with the Miami-Dade Police Department Forensic Services Bureau, Crime Lab Section, Firearms Unit, and North Miami investigators.
