Security guard shot and killed at North Miami complex

North Miami police are trying to piece together the murder of a security guard, who was found shot to death in his guard shack over the weekend.

Just before 1 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the Center Court Apartments, 14899 NE 18th Ave., where a man was down at the guard shack.

When officers arrived they found Vinel Lamour, 30, on the floor with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Ryder Trauma Center where he died.
