An ethics complaint against North Miami Beach Councilman Frantz Pierre was dismissed Wednesday after investigators found no probable cause.
The complaint stems from a fight that occurred Nov. 8 at Pierre’s church. Someone filed a complaint that Pierre ordered two off-duty Miami-Dade police officers to remove the two people arguing.
After the investigation, the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics and Public Trust concluded that the officers, who were hired by another member of the church, were acting on their own to resolve the situation by taking the two involved in the argument outside to settle their differences. The two people arguing were eventually allowed back inside the church.
There was no evidence that Pierre misused his position and the case was dismissed at the commission meeting
