Miami-Dade residents in Northeast Dade can seek to reinstate driver’s licenses
Miami-Dade residents will have an opportunity to have their driver’s licenses reinstated and fees potentially reduced through a Northeast Dade event sponsored by Miami-Dade Commissioner Sally Heyman.
Heyman, who represents District 4, is sponsoring a license reinstatement day March 18 and participants have to pre-register by Monday to be considered.
Residents with Miami-Dade county citations and suspensions due to a failure to pay, a traffic citation in collection status or a failure to appear are eligible for reinstatement of their suspended driver’s licenses.
The reinstatement will not include open DUI suspension cases, felony cases, insurance-related suspensions, civil judgments because of crashes, child support-related suspensions, open cases involving suspensions for habitual traffic offenses and any tickets issued outside of Miami-Dade.
For more information and to pre-register for the program call 305-375-2016. Mandatory pre-registration will determine whether residents are eligible for the reinstatement program and to schedule appointments.
