North Miami Beach bridge reopens after nearly three-hour closure

Motorists can once again head east on Northeast 163rd Street in North Miami Beach after workers fixed a bridge that was stuck in the upright position for nearly three hours, according to North Miami Beach Police Spokesman Capt. Richard Rand.

The Sunny Isles Beach bridge, which links North Miami Beach with the beach-side city, went up at about 3 p.m. and did not go down.

Traffic was rerouted as workers fixed the bridge.
