The Uptown Avenue 7 Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), the new name for the NW 7th Avenue CRA, is inviting business owners to learn about the CRA, its new business development programs, and new development along the NW 7th Avenue Corridor at a Business Development Summit.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church, 777 NW 85th St., in Miami. Admission and parking are free.
The summit will be hosted by county commissioners Jean Monestime and Audrey Edmondson, and the
board of the NW 7th CRA. The summit will feature presentations regarding business grants, incentives,

Businesses and investors will be able to mingle and meet lenders and government representatives. Local businesses are also invited to provide exhibits.
The CRA was formed in 2004, and covers both sides of NW 7th Avenue from NW 79th Street to the
Golden Glades Interchange. Over the last year, the CRA has developed a new Action Plan, a new brand
name and brand identity program, marketing program, security program, and new business development
grants and incentives to spur employment growth and redevelopment on NW 7th Avenue.
