North Miami police are searching for a “heavy-set” man with a “noticeable” lazy eye who robbed a Subway restaurant earlier this month.
In surveillance footage released by police Wednesday, the man, dressed in a black and white T-shirt, black shorts, black slippers, white socks and a green baseball hat, can be seen entering the restaurant at 965 NE 125th St. around 9 p.m. Oct. 19.
The robber, who is described to be between five-foot-three and five-foot-six and 220 pounds, can be seen pressing his gun against his abdomen as he approaches the male and female Subway employees.
After they exchange words, the man makes his way through the empty restaurant, past tables with chairs atop, and toward the cash register. He orders the employee to place cash into a bag and leaves. The robber made away with $300.
