Child airlifted as trauma alert after fire at North Miami home, fire rescue says

A child was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital after a North Miami house fire Monday afternoon, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said.

Two other patients were taken by ground to area hospitals after the fire at 1615 NW 123rd St., which began around 2:45 p.m. and drew 19 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units. County property records say the three-bedroom, two-bathroom house is the residence of Gabriel Fetierre, who bought the house in 1998.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said it didn’t yet have a cause for the fire, which comes a week after four children died in a house fire in Miami’s Grapeland area.
