Drivers injured in 3-car collision at North Miami intersection

A three-car crash held up the intersection of Northeast Second Avenue and 119th Street after a driver ran a red light Friday morning.

A silver Lincoln Navigator and silver Nissan Maxima collided around 10:30 a.m. Friday after the driver of the Maxima ran the light while driving northbound on Second Avenue. The two vehicles then spun out of control and struck a third car, a white Acura TL, according to Miami-Dade Police.

Drivers of the initial collision were transported to Ryder Trauma Center, and both cars were heavily damaged. The driver of the Acura was unharmed, and the car suffered only light damage.
