Once again, a middle school fight sends boy to hospital as trauma alert patient
For the second time in a week, a fight at at Miami-Dade County Public Schools middle school resulted in a child going to a hospital as a trauma patient.
Tuesday morning, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue workers arrived at North Miami Middle School to find a teenage boy unconscious. They took him to the hospital by ground.
A Miami-Dade County Public Schools spokesperson confirmed there had been “an altercation” between two boys. Both will be disciplined according to the student code of conduct, and neither will be arrested.
Last week, a 14-year-old Citrus Grove Middle School student was arrested after bodyslamming a 10-year-old, sending the younger child to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
