Brightline passenger railway construction gave back Northeast 163rd Street at Biscayne Boulevard Tuesday evening, but takes away a chunk of Northeast 125th Street Wednesday at 7 a.m.
And it won’t be back to normal until Aug. 4 at 6 p.m.
During those nine days and 11 hours, Northeast 125th Street will be closed at the railroad crossing in both directions.
Eastbound through-traffic on Northeast 125th will be detoured north on Northeast Sixth Avenue and to the West Dixie Highway slant. Those needing to go east again can make a right on Northeast 135th Street. Traffic coming west on Northeast 125th Street toward Biscayne Boulevard will be swung the reverse route — up to Northeast 135th Street, over to West Dixie, down to Northeast 125th Street.

Those on Interstate 95 southbound who would usually take Northwest 125th Street east of Northeast Sixth Avenue should get off at Northwest 135th Street and take that instead.
Northbound I-95 traffic that normally would exit at Northwest 125th Street and go east of Northeast Sixth Avenue is being asked to exist at Northwest 79th Street and take that to Biscayne Boulevard. Then, go north again.
Those who don’t mind a trip through Miami Shores, however, might want to take the Northwest 95th Street exit, go over to Northeast Second Avenue, jump up to Northeast 96th Street and take that to Biscayne Boulevard.
