Another altercation outside another Miami-Dade club. Another young life ended.

Keon Crump died in the Friday night/Saturday morning shooting at Coco’s Strip Club.
Keon Crump died in the Friday night/Saturday morning shooting at Coco’s Strip Club.

Much of 26-year-old Keon Crump’s Facebook page, including his cover photo, honors former Booker T. Washington High and University of South Florida football player Elkino Watson. Watson, with whom Crump was close, died after being stabbed outside an Ybor City nightclub last year.

Crump met a similar fate in Saturday’s wee hours outside Coco’s Nightclub, 1430 NW 119th St., when a gunman fatally shot him outside the strip club.

A YouTube video posted by HipHop Crown Nation captured the ensuing madness.

Crump died just before 3:30 p.m., according to the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office website.

Coco’s has gained the reputation over the last few years of a strip club that too often resembles a gun club. A 2014 ranking of “Miami’s worst urban strip clubs” on the DJ site Greenhitz.com says of Coco’s “we won’t even go in on how many times there have been a shooting in or out of the club...”

And the Facebook and Twitter chatter acts as backing chorus to that analysis:
