Police searching for a pushing/dragging supermarket mugger

Miami police are looking for a parking lot purse snatcher who pushed his victim down, dragged her and possibly swung her own purse at her in the robbery.

Surveillance video from Presidente Supermarket, 2199 NW 36th St., shows a man in a Honda Accord watching a woman in a nearby space putting her groceries in her minivan around 6:45 p.m. July 12 . As she finishes, he rolls his Honda Accord forward into the space next to her minivan. He then gets out, goes around the front of both cars and attacks her as she pushes her shopping cart to the curb.

She tried to maintain hold of her purse, but the man shoved her down, dragged her as he yanked on the strap until he had full control. Then, he at least wound up as if to strike her with the purse. She tried to hang onto the passenger window as he drove away.

The criminal is described as a white Hispanic male, slim build, 35 to 40 years old, 5-8 to 6-feet. clean shaven with short brown hair.
