Police: 14-year-old boy dies after accidental shooting in Miami Gardens

Police are investigating an accidental shooting that left a 14-year-old boy dead Saturday evening near Northwest 171st Street and 22nd Avenue.

Miami Gardens Police said another 14-year-old was playing with a gun inside when it went off and shot the victim.

He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital but did not survive.

Police Chief Antonio G. Brooklen tweeted: “Another life gone too soon, we as parents must protect, guide, train and love our future without limitations.”
